Living in coastal Virginia, much of my inspiration comes from my surroundings. Many of my paintings are influenced by the water views around me or the places I’ve traveled. I enjoy getting lost in the process of painting, letting go of expectations, and allowing myself to escape and create. While I often paint on canvas, I have come to enjoy painting on wood panels as they provide a surface that gives me flexibility and allows me to work on a large scale. My paintings constantly evolve using layers of color, shapes, and texture.
